Earthquake can be positive thing

Earthquake can be positive thing

A minor 4.1 magnitude quake stroke on Thursday. Fortunately, it was only small and even if buildings rattled a bit, there was no collapse or damage. Nonetheless, people of Chibombo district felt it hard because no one expected it.

The earthquake was at a depth of 12 kilometres at latitude 16.3165 and longitude 28.3125. It seems like the area is becoming more vulnerable to earthquakes; the last one stroke in April this year in Kaputa, Luapula Province.

We probably would not have earthquakes like this if Iris Kaingu had not turned her naked body into canvas and let an artist paint a traditional dress on it.

Earthquakes would not happen if Alex Ng’onga had not missed many chances in a World Cup qualifier against Nigeria. Because of that, we might not go to Russia next year.

Probably we would not have earthquakes if sex workers did not throw used condoms everywhere including church premises.

Maybe the earthquake would have been avoided if a well-known footballer had not had sex with a friend’s fiancée.

The Lusaka City Council might be considering buying earthquakes to demolish illegal structures in the neighbourhood. It could be expensive to use one bulldozer ro demolish one illegal structure at the time.

Earthquake could also become useful to stop political cadres from grabbing any land they find. Why not to pay a visit to the Geological Survey Department to find out if the land they intend to grab will be stroke by an earthquake in the near future.

On the other hand, possibly some land owner would love to buy a earthquake to scare away cadres from taking their land.
